I have developed (or hijacked, more
like) a ritual cleansing which I generally utilise after a
scene/event that has left me with unwanted baggage. I use it a bit
like a reset button. I remain sadistic and caring before and after.
It goes approximately like: using cold water: wash arms and lower
legs/feet thoroughly, wash behind ears, inside ears and nape of neck,
splash face 3 times, rinse out mouth 3 times, rinse nose 3 times.
Based loosely on a Shia Muslim cleansing called a Wudu.

That sucks! I really hope it all works out, and that even if it doesn't, you and your daughter find your balance.

My Dad was unable to be around for a lot of stuff that was part of my later school years, and it was upsetting, and did make things rough. But today not many years later, we're really close and have been for a while.

So yes… wishing you and your daughter the best.

Thank you! You are correct, there's a lot here to cover and the compartmentalization is just one piece. The goal, of course, is to integrate all facets of Self into the Whole, accepting yourself for who and what you are, without guilt or shame.

I'll cover more of this in the next installment.

Thanks for making this podcast. I'm most intrigued by the last part of the podcast in which you encourage people to compartmentalize. I can see the logic in it and how it makes it easier for people to act out their sadism, but I also see a socio-historical perspective to this, and it bothers me. I agree that it is an easy way to cope with having those proclivities, but I'm concerned that it allows people to leave their own complexity unacknowledged. Having been on both the giving and the receiving end of this, I really don't think it is over when the bruises fade. Human experience is cumulative. Hmmm... I think I need to blog on this one.

they both have strong points... dungeon place covers a lot wider variety of topics....but sadist is easier to listen to because its shorter....i cant choose between two great things

Great podcast! Enjoyed the religion/kink discussion. Also, awesome ideas and tips shared on "marking the unmarkable". =)

What an articulate, fun bunch you are...usually I get bored with listening to podcasts after a few minutes, but each of you have distinct personalities that shine in the show. Not to mention, you sound like you all are really enjoying the discussion and putting the show together. Makes a huge difference.

Greetings fellow kinksters,

First of all I want to say you have almost killed me several times. I listen to the podcast while I drive for work, and given the absolue hilarity invovled sometimes I start laughing so hard I almost lose control of the car.

The real reason of this message is this though, I would like to see you do a podcast on weight and the lifestyle. This could include commentary on people who are just a few (less than 50 lbs) overweight, up to people who are very (over 100 lbs) overweight and the challanges invloved.

Thanks again for the great shows.

Laughing my ass off at the recommendation against finding a Dom/Domme online. My slave and I met on OKCupid, chatted on fet and Windows Live for a month, spent a week together and decided it was good enough to be worth my relocation. Yeah, I'm a crazy, random type, too but that's not the issue. lol In any case, finding a compatible partner for a M/s or D/s relationship online isn't all that bad if done within a reasonable distance and with some degree of wisdom.

Aside from all that, (which wasn't issued as a complaint, btw), I'm loving the show and look forward to hearing the rest of the episodes. Much love, guys! Great stuff!
