Many people are worried (for good reason)&lt;br&gt;others aren't (and should be). The funny thing is there isn't a whole lot&lt;br&gt;you can do about what's being gathered, while there's a lot you can do about&lt;br&gt;what you expose to the world.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Here "pay as you go" phones are not quite as popular as they are in other&lt;br&gt;countries (although they're damn useful). Most would opt for an option like&lt;br&gt;Google Voice, a Skype number or other blocking technique.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Thanks for the comment! Is it a concern?</title><link>http://dungeonplace.com/hole/2009/10/26/privacy-is-it-a-concern/#comment-21216215</link><description>&lt;p&gt;I don't worry about online privacy in the sense of people getting my address or other personal details because I always edit my privacy settings to only allow people I know personally (i.e. real life friends) to see them, and I never give out personal details like phone numbers, etc to people I don't know.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;When it comes to people I know finding me on sites like Fetlife it doesn't bother me because they all know that I am living the lifestyle.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Generally I don't think privacy is an issue as long as you're sensible. Always edit the privacy settings, or at least check them, don't give out details to anyone ever. If I need to give out details for someone to contact me (which I haven't but it could happen) I would get a pay as you go SIM and use that number, or set up a different email address.&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">Mrs TeePot</dc:creator><pubDate>Wed, 28 Oct 2009 18:11:37 -0000</pubDate></item></channel></rss>
